Pheasant hunting

Pheasant hunting in Uzbekistan.

Pheasant hunting is like a whole ceremony. Pheasant hunting is a series of special activities that follow each other, like a tradition or a whole ceremony. Hunters from generation to generation trust the old customs and follow them in this business, especially if they adhere to traditional hunting, pleasant for its gambling and roots going back to ancient times. But that's not all. Pheasant is an excellent object of sport hunting. Hunting him is very interesting and exciting. It is clear that sport hunting does not provide for the release of artificially bred birds for such purposes. Therefore, when hunting a pheasant, a representative of sport hunting must strictly follow all the rules in order not to reduce, but rather to increase and preserve the number of this beautiful bird. Pheasant hunting is a series of special activities that follow each other, like a tradition or a whole ceremony. Hunters from generation to generation trust the old customs and follow them in this business, especially if they adhere to traditional hunting, pleasant for its gambling and roots going back to ancient times. Nowadays, the pheasant remains a remarkable object of hunting in Russia, Ukraine and abroad, but its relation to game is conditional. Artificially bred pheasants are usually hunted.

The pheasant is undeniably an enviable trophy for both novice and seasoned hunters. The first reason for the pheasant's popularity among hunters is its delicious and high-quality meat. But it is worth remembering that if the pheasant was killed in late autumn, its meat will be very fatty. For example, a soup made from such meat will be impossible to eat without first removing a fairly large amount of fat from it.

Beyond the borders of Russia and Ukraine, in countries where poultry farming is well developed, poultry is already widely used for gastronomic purposes. Currently, it is time to return to natural and gradual abandonment of industrially produced pheasants, the demand for pheasants is growing like never before. Nutritionists in Europe are already predicting the replacement of traditional meat with pheasant meat as more healthy and dietary. But that's not all. Pheasant is an excellent object of sport hunting. Hunting him is very interesting and exciting. It is clear that sport hunting does not provide for the release of artificially bred birds for such purposes. Therefore, when hunting a pheasant, a representative of sport hunting must strictly follow all the rules in order not to reduce, but on the contrary, to increase and preserve the number of this beautiful bird. In natural conditions, the pheasant lives in the Caucasus, southern Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan (up to the Aral Sea), near the Volga Delta, in the valley of the Chu River, along the southern coast of the Alakol basin and Balkhash. For the pheasant, smoothbore rifles with a fairly wide shotgun shell are used, without muzzle constriction, if it is a single-barreled shotgun or a single-barreled shotgun. With a double-barreled shotgun, the gun must have one barrel with a cylindrical bore, and the other with a slight muzzle narrowing. For the first shot from a double-barreled shotgun (usually from the right/ lower barrel) or a single-barreled shotgun (self-loading or pump-action), a large fraction spread is simply necessary. This is necessary so that at close range, as pheasant shots are usually fired, there is a high chance of defeat.

Picture background

It is forbidden to hunt pheasants in the spring, they cannot be hunted at all in many areas, and they are under strict protection, which is associated with a decrease in their numbers everywhere. Where such hunting is allowed, it is limited by methods and deadlines. Pheasant is mostly hunted with a dog. Almost all breeds of cops are suitable. Spaniels are good at this, they have proven themselves well in chasing and overcoming thickets of thorny bushes, which are often inaccessible to large breeds of dogs. Therefore, artificial breeding of pheasants in hunting farms has become widespread. The dog gets on the pheasant's trail and chases the bird, the hunter quickly follows it and prepares to shoot. Moreover, the faster the dog chases the pheasant, the faster the bird will get under the shot when raised on the wing. The dog can bypass the bird, thus forcing it to fly towards the hunter, which means it is under fire. Some young pheasants lie low, allowing the dog to make a stand, and the hunter to come up and take a good aim. The dog also participates in the process of feeding the hunter the pheasant he killed. After all, as often happens, a pheasant falls into a dark thicket, in which it is impossible to find a dead bird either during the day or at night.
